Our Novice session is for surfers who have mastered the Beginner session and want to start riding slightly larger open-face waves that break at a mellow pace. This setting features our smallest Malibu-style waves, the Malibu 0.5 (M0.5) and the Malibu 1 (M1). It’s perfect for those looking to master catching a wave before it breaks, standing up, and turning down the line.
Includes: Soft top surfboard and wetsuit (not required)
Coached sessions include 30 minutes of pre-surf instruction followed by a 55-minute surf session. End your experience with a 10-minute recap and lots of high-fives!
Be sure to show up at least 30 minutes before your chosen surf time to check in and get ready!

In this session, you’ll work on trimming, controlling and generating speed down-the-line and starting to turn, with coaching tailored to your goals.
