About Lisa Andersen
Lisa Andersen is one of the most iconic figures in the history of professional surfing. A four-time ASP Women’s World Surfing Champion (1994–1997), she redefined what it meant to be a female competitive surfer — surfing with power, aggression, and style that transcended gender and generation. Her story was immortalized in the landmark documentary Trouble, which introduced her legend to a global audience far beyond the surf world. Lisa’s influence on women’s surfing is immeasurable. She brought competitive girls into the sport in the 1990s and her legacy continues to inspire the next generation of female competitors.
